What is a Level 2 Electrician?

A Level 2 Electrician is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) authorised by Ausgrid and Endeavour Energy to work on the electricity distribution network. This includes all work between the street and your meter — underground cables, overhead service lines, metering equipment and private poles. Standard electricians cannot perform this work in NSW.

Do I need a Level 2 or standard electrician?

You need a Level 2 electrician for any work on the network side of your meter — switchboard upgrades involving metering, underground or overhead service lines, private poles and defect notice rectification.
