Anyone can claim "Level 2" on a website. Here's how to check the two credentials that make it real — and where to look ours up before we set foot on your property.

Level 2 work — service mains, metering, private poles, network connections — is high-consequence work. Done by someone without the right authorisation it's illegal, uninsurable, and won't be accepted by Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy, which means paying again to have it redone. Before hiring anyone (including us), check both of these:
Issued by NSW Fair Trading, this is the baseline for any electrical work in the state. Search the contractor's name or licence number on the Fair Trading public register at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au. Confirm the licence is current and held by the entity actually doing your work — not a lapsed licence or a different company with a similar name.
The electrical licence alone does not permit Level 2 work. The contractor must also be an Accredited Service Provider under the NSW ASP scheme, listed with the network that covers your address — Ausgrid for metropolitan Sydney, Endeavour Energy for the west and Blue Mountains. Both networks publish their ASP lists. We hold Grade A accreditation in all four classes with both networks, so we can work on any premises connection in Greater Sydney.
Two checks: their NSW electrical contractor licence on the Fair Trading public register, and their ASP accreditation on the Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy ASP lists. A genuine Level 2 electrician holds both.
